About

Hi, I'm Heather.

I'm a crafty mom of two, and I kind of like to do it all -- paint, draw, sculpt, scrapbook, build toys for my kids, make jewelry, tackle ambitious paint treatmentscopy things off Pinterestorganize, design gallery walls, create party supplies, and DIY items around my house. But lately I've been addicted to my sewing machine.

My first attempt at a dress for myself!

My biggest fans

I've been sewing since I was eight years old. I've had my fair share of sewing disasters over the years, but I really started honing my skills when I was pregnant with my son, Dexter. I taught myself how to make baby quilts, bibs, burp clothes, changing pads, nursery curtains, and even all of the bedding for crib. I even experimented with making him some outfits, but they were hilariously unwearable for the most part.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, Charlotte, I sewed everything for her nursery, too -- but mostly, I was excited to make her a closet full of dresses! I fell in love with making these sweet little creations for her (and me!) and it's turned sewing from a back-burner hobby to something I want to do during every spare moment.

I'm a stay-at-home mom who works as a freelance journalist, and I blog about my hectic work-at-home life over at Laptops to Lullabies, so I don't get a lot of time for sewing and crafting. But when I do, you might see some of my creations here for sale. I hope you like them!

xoxo
